Karnataka crisis: Supreme Court takes up rebel MLAs' plea

Supreme Courtroom on Tuesday took up the pleas of 10 insurgent Karnataka MLAs towards Speaker Okay R Ramesh for not accepting their resignations.

Senior counsel Mukul Rohatgi representing insurgent MLAs stated, "I do not need to be an MLA. No one can drive me. My resignation have to be accepted."

Rohatgi stated the Speaker cannot maintain the resignations for therefore many days. "That is an try and scuttle their resignations. The Speaker is making an attempt to decide on each the issues-resignation and disqualification-at the identical time," he stated.

The Supreme Courtroom on Friday directed Karnataka Speaker Okay R Ramesh to to not determine on the resignations or disqualifications of the MLAs until Tuesday.
